Beat the Heat with Delicious Beer and Gourmet Food! “Ginza Sky Beer Terrace”

It’s been scorching hot every day in Tokyo. How is everyone coping? During such sweltering days, there’s nothing better than heading to a beer garden with friends and family to beat the heat! In this article, we introduce the “Ginza Sky Beer Terrace,” where you can enjoy a luxurious time while savoring Tokyo’s nightscape. So, let’s raise a toast with some ice-cold beer!

A Beer Terrace with a Superb Night View

The “Ginza Sky Beer Terrace” is a beer garden operated by “Tokyo Kaikan,” renowned for its gourmet cuisine. It is located on the 13th floor of Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan, just in front of Yurakucho Station. As you step out of the elevator and onto the “Ginza Sky Beer Terrace,” you’ll be greeted with a stunning night view 40 meters above the ground, illuminated by charming garland lights. The panorama is nothing short of breathtaking! To the north, you can see the illuminated Tokyo Station. While enjoying the cool breeze, start by quenching your thirst with a cold beer and then indulge in a sumptuous gourmet meal.

Luxurious Gourmet Cuisine with 3 Plans to Choose From

The “Ginza Sky Beer Terrace” offers three plans, each with its own delightful culinary offerings. One of the highlights is Tokyo Kaikan’s homemade dishes, highly recommended by our Editor in Chief, Marai. With the menu changing every month, you can visit “Ginza Sky Beer Terrace” as many times as you want and always enjoy something new. Here are the three plans to choose from:

  1. One Plate Plan – ¥5,000 (tax included) [1.5-hour system]
  2. Standard Plan – ¥8,000 (tax included) [2 hours]
  3. Domestic Beef Sirloin Steak Plan – ¥12,000 (tax included) [2 hours] (*Please note that prices are as of July 2023)

If you opt for the “standard plan,” you’ll be treated to a delightful array of dishes presented on both hot and cold plates.

[Cold Plate] (July Menu) Seafood Chimchiri / Potato Salad / Salad (Raw Vegetables) / Smoked Salmon / Smoked Mackerel / Pickled Perilla Seeds / Carrot Rape / Quiche
[Hot Plate] (July Menu) Fried Lotus Root and Minced Meat with Curry Flavor / Teriyaki Chicken Burger / French Fries / Shrimp Mayonnaise / Ratatouille / Herb Sausage / Hamburger / Tomato Pilaf
Cheers with my friend after work!

The “Tokyo Kaikan” takes pride in its homemade dishes, crafted with care by top-class chefs. The thoughtfulness in menu planning shines through, with seasoning adjusted according to the weather. The little treats were absolutely delicious, and the combinations were a delight! Personally, I was impressed by the moderately sour potato salad. So nice!

Furthermore, the “Domestic Beef Sirloin Steak Plan” offers two plate dishes, a serving of domestic beef sirloin steak, and a premium drink, including sparkling wine.

Apart from the plans, the à la carte menu features edamame, an essential summer snack in Japan, a delectable mixed pizza perfect for sharing, and mixed nuts. As a bonus, every Monday and Tuesday, pre-ordering guests are treated with popcorn! (As a huge popcorn fan, this is something I can’t resist!)

A Beer Terrace With a Relaced Vibe

One of the highlights of “Ginza Sky Beer Terrace” is its prime location, offering splendid views of Tokyo Station and the city center. The terrace attracts nearby office workers and couples, creating a pleasant ambiance with enjoyable background music, perfect for an evening of relaxation. It’s an ideal spot to cherish a summer night.

The friendly staff adds to the unforgettable experience, ensuring you have a fantastic time. I highly recommend “Ginza Sky Beer Terrace” to anyone looking for a luxurious evening in the city. Do pay a visit!
