What is your favorite musical instrument?
When you get off at JR Ochanomizu station, you will soon see a lot of musical instrument retailers (about 50!) that gather in the area around the station.
Years ago, the stores’ customers were mainly university students, but now, professional musicians and tourists come to this area in search of “Made in Japan” and limited instruments.
Shops in this area display everything from rare vintage items to beginner friendly instruments – even looking at the different stores is fun! Since many of the shops specialize in a type of instrument, you will surely be overwhelmed by the enormous product selection. If you like music, this is the place to go!
