Breakfast at your hotel is great, but why not wake up a little earlier and head out for a healthy salad, aromatic coffee, and freshly baked bread at a popular restaurant where Tokyoites wait in line to be served? In this article, we will introduce you to “No4,” where you can enjoy a great breakfast or brunch.
No4, a Café-Restaurant with a Long Line
No4 is located away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. It is a popular café/restaurant where long lines form in the morning, regardless of whether it is a weekday or a holiday. The Kojimachi area is a town with few pedestrians on weekends, but the area around the restaurant always feels lively, making it a magical spot.
The company behind the restaurant, TYSONS & COMPANY, also operates a bakery, a coffee roastery, and a beer brewery. Some of the products produced there are on the menu at No4.
Also, No4 has a bakery inside, where customers can buy freshly baked bread and enjoy its delicacies in the adjacent park. From croissants to pastries and cakes, there is also a selection of sweets for those with a sweet tooth. In particular, the bread made from carefully selected ingredients, such as wheat from particular regions, and homemade natural yeast is exquisite.
Editor-in-Chief Marei’s Recommend Menu
No4’s rustic wood-based interior and large windows create a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast menu is available until 10:45 a.m., making No4 a rare brunch restaurant in Tokyo.
In the morning, I would recommend their French toast set. Soup, fried egg, bacon, salad with quinoa, and the star of the show, thick French toast, are all excellent!
This sumptuous dish is made with brioche bread and drizzled with maple syrup and whipped cream. The combination of crispy bread and sweet toppings makes this a must-have brunch dish.
Another recommended menu item is the Avocado Toast, a thick slice of freshly baked sourdough bread topped with avocado!
Although the creamy avocado is only topped with scallions and a little spice, the first bite of the toast shocked me with its flavorful bread aroma and fresh avocado flavor in your mouth.
Fruit is sprinkled on top of the salad, making it a luxurious dish. No4 has many vegan and vegetarian options, so anyone can enjoy their food. This is great when you want to bring your friends. Everyone can find something they like, which is fantastic, right?
If you are looking for a cozy restaurant in Tokyo that serves healthy salads, aromatic coffee, and freshly baked bread, No4 is a no-brainer. I recommend buying some of the bakery’s sweet treats and sourdough bread to take home, so you can continue the luxurious taste of No4 at your home or the hotel where you are staying!
